As the Senior Sys Admin of Agency 451, it’s my job to fix computers, manage servers and keep the email flowing. I have over 18 years of IT experience under my belt, despite graduating from the University of Iowa with an English degree. I planned to be a fiction writer but also wanted to pay rent, so fixing computers seemed an adequate stopgap. I didn’t expect to fall in love with the IT career path!
I moved to Boston in 2005 and worked my way from a lowly desktop support tech to managing servers and phone systems. I enjoy working through a problem to find the solution, and the joy of finally solving a troublesome issue never gets old. And the best part of working in IT? Everyone’s excited to see you!
I like to consider myself a well-rounded geek. I love the traditional nerdy hobbies of science fiction, video games, tabletop gaming, and my Star Wars Lego collection is taking over the house. But I also enjoy wandering Boston, cycling, drumming and cheering for the New Jersey Devils. See? Not nerdy.
Last but certainly not least, I have a wife and two kids who mean the world to me. I spend as much time with them as I can and have already taught them that Marvel is vastly superior to DC Comics.
