I’m Alexis: SEO Sleuth, One-time Trivia Night winner, amateur cat photographer, and TV-quoting extraordinaire.
Growing up, I was the kid always asking “But why?”. Why don’t penguins fly, why can’t you swallow gum, why is the word “abbreviation” so long? When I didn’t know the answer to a question back in the day, my first step was to head to the library and read until I found the answer. Although I still enjoy cozying up with a good book, these days I head to the Internet to find answers. The questions themselves are a little different too, they’re more like: Why is your brand not being found online? Why are users leaving your site? What recommendations can I provide to fix it?
As an SEO Specialist, it’s my job to analyze a site’s data and performance, and provide recommendations to help the website succeed. If I don’t have the answer to a question, I’ll research until I come to a substantial conclusion. Providing innovative and creative solutions to clients is my daily goal. Blame it on too many re-readings of the Harry Potter series, but researching new topics and reading to solve your problems worked pretty well for Hermione Granger when she helped save the wizarding world, so I’m going to stick by that method!
I was hired as a full-time employee at Agency 451 after serving time as an intern and SEO contractor during my senior year of college. I received my bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communication from Emerson College with minors in Writing and Political Communication. Writing is both a passion and hobby of mine, and I enjoy contributing to the 451 Heat blog. I also spent a semester in college studying abroad in the Netherlands, where I tried a soup called Snert and learned how to sing happy birthday in Dutch.
After growing up in Ohio and later New Hampshire, I now call Boston home. Outside of the office, you can find me reading on the Green Line, running on the Esplanade, debating the latest superhero movie, and annoying friends with constant photos of my cat.
