My spirit animal is a bull. Whether it’s on a rugby pitch or in the board room I attack things head on. My process is simple – set goals then exceed goals then rinse and repeat. I hate being told something can’t be done. I need to constantly set stretch goals for myself and 451 to feel great about what I am doing each and every day.
Once people get to know me they realize that I truly love being around others. I appreciate everyone. I’ll often talk to strangers on the street because I love finding connections and listening to their stories. When I become friends with someone they can rest assured that when I see them on the street I will greet that person with a large, authentic smile.
If I wasn’t in the agency biz, I am not sure what I would do. I’ve been doing it for almost 17 years. Most likely, I would still be some sort of problem solver. I say that because developing strategies through collaboration to solve problems is really what gets me excited. Maybe I’d be a scientist? Or a psychologist? Or some sort of group organizer? I guess my job is a little bit of all three with a pinch of math thrown in for good measure.
The things that matter most to me in this world are my family (incredible wife and three amazing kids), my extended family (this includes my closest friends), my character (as in, being the type of person my kids can always be proud of and a person that people will always want to do business with), and the legacy I am creating by surrounding myself with incredibly talented and smart people. I guess when you think about it, my favorite “things” are not really things at all.
When I am not at 451 or trying to become better at 451’ing, I love to eat and cook amazing food, travel to new places, pretend to be a mixologist, do just about anything on the water, blow off steam, share a few pints, and enjoy life with those closest to me.
