Karyn Martin Named Partner at 451 Marketing
Agency’s first female partner brings determination to drive agency vision and growth
BOSTON, Feb. 15, 2017 — 451 Marketing has expanded its executive leadership team to include its first female partner, Karyn Martin, of Walpole, Massachusetts. Martin’s promotion culminates her long-standing commitment to developing the agency’s national public relations practice; which she has achieved consistently with an average of 12% YoY departmental growth. With this appointment, the agency cements its investment in workplace gender equality from the top down.
“Karyn has been an integral part of our evolution since she joined us over six and a half years ago,” said Senior Partner Thomas Lee. “I have always been proud of the fact that our agency has so many women in top leadership roles — managers, directors, VPs, and EVPs. I couldn’t be happier that Karyn is now our first female partner.”
Martin joined the growing agency in 2010. As EVP of PR, she formulated a strategy to close the loop between digital and PR, and implemented campaigns that relied on data and insights for a growing list of clients. Martin was instrumental in developing the team, and a key player in promoting an agency-wide, integrated campaign strategy.
“Women make up the bulk of the PR workforce and yet are severely underrepresented in the most senior levels,” said Martin. “I’ve been hungry since day one to make my mark and lead from the top. 451 provided me with an unparalleled opportunity to do both. I look forward to achieving further success with this amazing team in the years to come.”
Martin has more than 16 years of public relations experience. She is the former president of the Publicity Club of New England and Founder of 451’s Press Previews, an exclusive, private, media event.
